ABOUT THE PILLOW

What makes KumoFlex different from regular pillows?

KumoFlex is fully adjustable — you can add or remove AoYuki Flex memory foam cubes to customise height and firmness. Regular pillows are fixed, flatten faster, and can’t be tailored to your body.

What filling does it use?

It uses 100% pure AoYuki Flex Cube Cooling Memory Foam, not mixed polyester or scrap foam. This gives better support, shape retention, and airflow.

Is it suitable for all ages (kids, seniors, pregnancy)?

Yes, for ages 4+ with supervision. It’s supportive enough for adults and seniors, and adjustable enough to be made softer or lower for kids and pregnant users.

Does it flatten over time?

The foam may soften slightly with use (normal for memory foam), but it’s designed not to collapse like cotton or polyester. If it feels lower, you can simply add more cubes.

Is it noisy when shifting?

No. The cubes move quietly inside the inner cover. There are no crunchy or plastic sounds like some cheap fillings.

What size is it?

It’s designed as a standard ergonomic/contour-style pillow size suitable for most Singapore beds and pillowcases (you can adjust loft inside without changing external size).

Is it suitable for side, back, and stomach sleepers?

Yes. Just adjust the amount of foam: -Side sleepers: more loft (higher fill) -Back sleepers: medium loft -Stomach sleepers: lower loft / softer

Does it help with neck, shoulder, or back pain?

It’s designed to support your neck and align your spine better than flat pillows. Many users feel less stiffness, but results may vary by individual.

Will it reduce morning stiffness?

Good alignment + proper height can reduce strain on the neck and shoulders, which often translates to less morning stiffness over time.

Does it help align my spine?

Yes. When adjusted correctly for your height and sleep position, it helps keep your head, neck, and spine in a neutral line.

Will it help with snoring?

It may help if your snoring is related to poor neck alignment. A better-supported head and neck can help keep your airway more open.

Does it trap heat?

No. AoYuki cubes are cooling gel–infused and cut into cubes to create airflow channels, reducing heat build-up compared to solid memory foam.

Does it stay cool all night?

It’s designed to stay cooler and less stuffy than normal pillows. In a very hot room, it will still warm slightly but won’t trap heat as much.

Will it feel too cold in AC rooms?

Most users feel it as comfortably cool, not icy. In strong AC, you can use a slightly thicker pillowcase if you are very cold-sensitive.

Is it suitable for hot sleepers?

Yes — it’s specifically made for hot, humid climates and people who wake up sweaty with normal pillows.

Can I adjust firmness and height?

Yes. Add more cubes for higher & firmer, remove cubes for lower & softer.

How do I adjust loft properly?

Unzip, remove or add cubes, zip back, then press and fluff the pillow to distribute the cubes evenly before lying down and testing.

Will the cubes clump together?

No, the cube shape helps them settle evenly and resist clumping compared to shredded scraps.

Can I add and remove foam anytime?

Yes. You can tweak it as often as you like until you find your ideal feel.

Does it come with extra foam?

Yes, it typically comes with a generous filling; in most cases you’ll be removing some foam rather than needing more.

How often should I adjust the loft?

Only when your body or sleeping style changes — e.g. new mattress, pregnancy, recovery, or if you just want a different feel.

Can I use AoYuki Flex cubes from other pillows?

Yes, as long as they’re genuine AoYuki cubes. Just be sure not to overfill.

Can I wash the pillow?

You can wash the outer cover only. The foam cubes must not be machine washed or soaked.

Can I wash the inner foam?

No. Spot clean only. Water soaking the foam can damage its structure.

How to remove new-foam smell?

Air the pillow in a cool, shaded area for a few hours. The mild “new foam” scent will fade.

How often to fluff or air the pillow?

Every 2–4 weeks, give it a shake and fluff, and air by a window (in shade).

Best way to deep clean it?

Wash the cover, spot-clean small marks on the inner lining, and air the foam (no direct sun, no soaking).

DURABILITY & LONGEVITY

How long will the pillow last?

With normal use and care, it’s designed to last 3–5 years without collapsing like regular pillows.

Does the cover pill or fade?

It’s made to be anti-pilling and color-stable, but harsh detergents or rough washing may shorten its life.

Will the foam deteriorate?

All foam ages over many years, but high-density AoYuki cubes are engineered to resist crumbling and sagging.

Will it lose cooling performance over time?

The cooling effect comes from the foam structure and materials, not coatings, so it will not “wash off”. It may feel slightly less cool if the cover is very old or thick.
