Care & Maintenance

Outer cover (default mesh cover)

Remove outer cover from foam core before washing.
Close all zips.
Machine wash cold, up to 40°C, on gentle cycle.
Use mild, liquid detergent.
Avoid bleach, fabric softeners and harsh stain removers.
Line dry in shade or tumble dry on low heat.
Do not iron or dry clean.

Optional Bamboo Bliss cooling cover

Wash inside out in a laundry bag to protect the fabric.
Machine wash cold, gentle cycle.
Line dry or tumble dry low; remove promptly to reduce creasing.
Do not bleach or use fabric softener (may affect cooling and antibacterial performance).
Do not iron directly on the logo/label.

Foam core

Do not machine wash, soak or wring.
If needed, spot clean the surface lightly with a damp cloth and mild soap, then blot dry.
Always keep foam completely dry before putting the cover back on.
Air the pillow occasionally in a shaded, well-ventilated area to freshen.
Avoid direct sunlight, radiators or high heat sources — this may damage or harden the foam.

Usage Tips for Best Support

After unboxing, allow the pillow to fully expand for 24–48 hours before first use.
Use the higher curve for side sleeping (fills the shoulder gap).
Use the lower curve for back sleeping (keeps chin from being pushed forward).
Pair with a medium-height mattress and not more than one additional pillow under the head.
Give your body 3–7 nights to adjust to the contour shape, especially if you’re switching from a flat pillow.
Rotate the pillow occasionally (head-to-toe) to maintain even wear.

Which sleeping positions is RyoMemori suitable for?

RyoMemori is best for side and back sleepers. Use the higher curve if you sleep mainly on your side or have broader shoulders. Use the lower curve if you sleep mainly on your back or prefer a slightly lower height.

How do I choose between Standard and King size?

- Standard (50 × 30 × 7/10 cm): Great for single beds, smaller frames, or sleepers who prefer a more compact pillow. - King (60 × 40 × 9/12 cm): Better for queen/king beds, broader shoulders, or those who like more surface area and rolling space. Function and contour are the same — only the width and length differ.

How long does it take to get used to the pillow?

Most people feel relief within the first few nights, but your neck may need up to 7–10 days to fully adapt from a very flat or very high pillow. This is normal when switching to proper alignment support.

Can I use RyoMemori without aircon?

Yes. RyoMemori was designed for Singapore’s warm, humid climate. The cooling gel + breathable mesh panel are meant to help even when you sleep with fan only.

Can I use my own pillowcase over RyoMemori?

You can, as long as the pillowcase is stretchy or slightly larger, so it doesn’t pull the contour shape flat. For the best cooling and airflow, we recommend our Bamboo Bliss cooling cover or a light, breathable fabric.

Is the foam certified?

Yes. The foam used in RyoMemori is CertiPUR-US® certified, meaning it is made without harmful heavy metals, ozone depleters, or certain flame retardants, and has low VOC emissions.

Is the fabric certified?

The outer fabric materials are OEKO-TEX® tested, meaning they’re checked for harmful substances and are safe for prolonged skin contact — suitable for sensitive skin and teens.

Is the cover removable and washable?

Yes. The default polyester mesh cooling cover is removable and washable. The inner foam core should not be washed.

Is RyoMemori hypoallergenic?

The foam and fabrics are naturally hypoallergenic and dust-mite resistant, and are chosen to be low-irritation for sensitive, acne-prone or allergy-prone skin.

Safety & Home Use

Is RyoMemori safe for children?

RyoMemori is suitable for older children and teens who are already using a proper pillow size and can sleep safely on a contour pillow. For very young children, please follow your paediatrician’s guidance on pillow use.

Can I use this pillow during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Many mums use RyoMemori for neck and shoulder relief, especially with side sleeping. However, it is not a medical device. If you have specific conditions (e.g. severe neck injury, spinal issues), please check with your doctor.

Does the pillow have a strong smell when new?

New foam products may have a mild “new pillow” smell when first unboxed. This is normal, within CertiPUR-US® limits, and usually fades within a few days. You can air the pillow in a shaded, ventilated area before first use.

Is the cooling gel safe?

Yes. The cooling gel is fully enclosed inside the foam / gel panel and is not in direct contact with skin. It is designed for everyday sleep use.

Does the pillow feel very hard or very soft?

RyoMemori is medium-firm — it gently hugs your neck while still holding its shape. It is not squishy like a regular polyfill pillow and not rock-hard like some latex pillows.

Can I wash the foam core?

No. The foam core should not be machine washed, soaked or wrung. This may damage the foam cell structure. If needed, spot clean gently with a lightly damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry completely in a shaded, ventilated area.

How should I air or refresh the pillow?

Every few weeks, remove any pillowcase and: 1. Lay the pillow flat in a cool, shaded area with good airflow 2. Avoid direct sun or high heat, which can age the foam 3. Do not place directly under a strong heater or hair dryer

Can I use RyoMemori with a waterproof protector?

Yes, but choose a breathable, thin protector. Very thick or plastic-feeling protectors may reduce the cooling effect and airflow.

Exchanges & Returns

What if I receive the wrong item?

If you receive the wrong model, size or colour, contact us within 3 days of delivery with your order number and photos. We’ll arrange a replacement or exchange as soon as possible.

What if my item arrives damaged or defective?

Please take clear photos of: The outer carton The product box The affected area on the pillow Send them to us within 3 days of receiving your order. If the issue is confirmed, we’ll provide a replacement or suitable resolution.

Can I return or exchange the pillow if it’s already used?

Because pillows are intimate, hygiene-sensitive products, we’re generally unable to accept returns for used or opened pillows if there is no defect. This keeps every customer’s pillow truly new and unused. If you’re unsure which size suits you, reach out before purchasing and we’ll help you decide.

Can I cancel my order after it’s placed?

If your order has not yet been packed or shipped, we may be able to cancel or amend it. Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number. Once the parcel has been handed to the courier, cancellation may no longer be possible.
